What is Feasibility Study
What is Feasibility Study
A feasibility study is undertaken to determine the possibility of either improving the existing system or developing a completely new system. This study helps to obtain an overview of the problem and to get rough assessment of whether feasible solutions exist. Since the feasibility study may lead to the commitment of large resources, it is important that it is conducted completely and that no fundamental errors of judgment are made.
The purpose of feasibility study is to determine whether the requested project is successfully realizable. There are following aspects of feasibility study, namely.
Before designing a real time software application client always look for the problems which may occured in appkication which is given by client this is technique known as feasibility study.
Feasibility Study
It is one of the problem identification tecnique at initial lavel of project develpment, it is classified into following types;
- Techniqute Feasibility
- Economical Feasibility
- Managirial Feasibility
- Operational Feasibility
Techniqute Feasibility
In this scenario we identify various technique problem like no sufficience develpment, no sufficient software and harware equipment etc.
In this scenario we can able to find economical problems like not having enough founds to pay the salary, not having enough founds to purchase the software and hardware etc.
Managirial Feasibility
In this scenario we can able to find various problem from the managment side like managment is not reasy to provide proper infrastructure etc.
Operational Feasibility
In this scenario we can able to find various ligal problems like copying domain names, break down the copy right reservation etc.
After gathering all the above problems organization people will starts gathering the solution by placing them into feasibility report (documentation)
Once the above problems are solved then the organization is ready to design the application by following SDLC aproach.
